Accommodation: There is no residential accommodation available at Kilquhanity. However, there will be space for 30 tents allocated on first booked basis, these spaces will be free of charge. Further camping space at Knockvennie will be available but there will be no toilet facilities available and a donation to Knockvennie Hall funds will be requested. There will also be a tap with running cold water and the river, sounds wonderful.

Car Parking: There will be no car parking on Kilquhanity Site. We have negotiated car parking behind the lodge on McTaggarts land.

Food: Because the main kitchen cannot be used we are having to make other arrangements and these are:

1) A daily communal Bar-B-Q area with free fuel will be provided for people to cook their own food if they want to.
2) Gavin is providing a "good value" breakfast on Saturday and Sunday, see “Gavin's Gourmet Guide” for details. No pre-payment required.
3) Kirsty Pyle and her friend Oli are providing lunch on Saturday, this will consist of salads and a choice of dishes. The cost of this will depend on how much you have, you can see Saturday Lunch details here. No pre-payment required.
4) For meals on Friday and Saturday evenings we would like to use a local catering company, however, they will only come if the numbers make it worth their while. Have a look at the Caterbirds page for their proposed menu and link to their website. It would make things a lot simpler if the majority of people do sign up for these evening meals so we can schedule in a meal time. If everybody decides to do the self-catering option it will take forever on the B-B-Q. The proposed Caterbirds meals will be £6 for the Friday evening and £10 on Saturday evening. The meals will be prepared offsite, delivered, served and cleared by Caterbirds, you'll just have to eat it!!.

If you do decide to have the Caterbirds option on the Friday and/or Saturday evenings, payment will be required in advance and we will let you know when to make the payment. We need to let Caterbirds know about numbers ASAP, so please let us know if you would like the Caterbirds meal(s), don't send money yet though as we first need to confirm we have enough people. If we don't hear from you by 11th June we will assume you will be self catering. We now have a form which we would like you to complete so we will have all your details and requirements, please click here for the FORM.

Drinks Bar: See details for the Drinks Bar which will serve hot and cold drinks and some snacks. You can of course bring your own refreshments.

Toilets: Toilets on the premises will be available, further portaloos will be rented if necessary. There are no shower facilities available on site. The river's looking good though!

Bands and Dances: These will be held outside, weather permitting. If raining we will move into the newly re-furbished stable but bear in mind that this building will only accommodate smaller numbers for comfortable dancing.

Charges and Security: Wristbands will be sent out/issued to you when your payment is received, £5 for Friday and £10 for Saturday per person. Individuals without a wristband on the day and unable to demonstrate that payment has been made will be expected to pay for the relevant day.
Please make payment by Cash or Cheque, ideally enclosing a strong stamped (51p postage), self-addressed envelope to:
Andrew Pyle, Kilquhanity Children's Village, Castle Douglas, DG7 3DB
or by bank transfer to:
Kilquhanity Children's Village SOS Fund
Sort Code: 80-06-11
Account Number: 06003499.
If you are paying by bank transfer PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU PROVIDE YOUR NAME AS A REFERENCE and make sure you complete the ONLINE BOOKING FORM with your address so we can send the wristband(s) out to you.
The ONLINE BOOKING FORM needs to be completed by everyone please as this will give us all the information we require.

Let us know your requirements as soon as you can please - number of tickets for each day and, if camping, number of tents and on which nights. At the moment there are around 90 people committed to coming but we're pretty sure there will be more to come. There will of course be some people who will turn up and pay on the day and that's fine. However, it will be a great help to us to have an idea of the likely numbers sooner than later so if you know for sure you can attend then please let us know. Thanks to all of you who have already committed to attending - See the regularly updated list of who is coming.

ONE FINAL IMPORTANT NOTE:
We would ask all visitors to respect that the Estate is now owned and occupied by Japanese students and staff who are keen practitioners of progressive, free school education and have a culture in which kindness and respect for others in all aspects of interaction is of utmost importance.

Bookings can be made as from today using the above payment details but ideally the online FORM will have to be completed as well please.
